Nasce a Padova nel 1937 e compie gli studi a Venezia dove frequenta l’Istituto di Architettura e il Corso Superiore di Disegno Industriale. Nel 1958 intraprende l’insegnamento di disegno e storia dell’arte nella scuola pubblica e nel ’69 gli viene assegnata la cattedra1
